Emma Rose

I have been so busy this summer! I did not realise that I have not told you about my Granddaughter....

Emma was born in June. She is so beautiful! When I first saw her, she was just over 2 weeks old! I was amazed to see her trying to lift herself up, while laying on her back! She rolled from her back onto her side, she smiled, then she made sounds as she looked at her daddy! Some of you may know I am a trained Nursery nurse and I did not think babies did all those things, so early!
We went up to Chorley to see the family last Friday and I was amazed again as Emma had not only grown (as you would expect)
but she has developed a lovely little laugh! (and only 2 months old!)
It was so lovely to see her focusing fully on us, we could see that she could see us clearly. There was a lovely moment when Emma peeped around her dad so that she could see me! Ah!
We have had the usual conversations about who does she look like!
I think she looks a bit like my son and a bit like my daughter-in-law.
The other grandma thinks she looks like ME! Ooh! Maybe she does a bit...time will tell!
I just think she is my most beautiful granddaughter Emma Rose..and I love her with all my heart...

  3. Being grandparents is great and I absolutely love it. I have 7 grandchildren and they range in ages from teenagers down to the youngest who are sisters of 3 and 4 years of age.
We can have the enjoyment of being with them and of being part of their lives, but are then free to escape back to our own quiet and peaceful home.
Ann you must be feeling very happy and proud with that little bundle so young. Maybe the first of mant more to come.
Tony, the day will soon come when you are officially allowed to take the name of grandad.
